SPECIFIC CED-DM Endocrine Support is a complete veterinary diet specially formulated for dogs with diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, and for nutritional support of healthy blood glucose and lipid levels, normal blood pressure, optimal skin condition and body weight, and immune response in dogs with endocrine disorders including hypothyroidism and hypercortisolism (Cushing's syndrome). Also suitable for constipation and fibre-responsive colitis. Use under veterinary supervision.
  • Low carbohydrate content from slow-release sources oats and peas, with increased fibre to promote gradual glucose release and reduce postprandial hyperglycaemia
  • Uniquely high levels of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil and krill to help regulate blood lipids, maintain normal blood pressure and support insulin sensitivity
  • Contains beta-1,3/1,6-glucans from yeast and increased levels of zinc, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids to support immune status and natural cytokine production
  • Increased levels of vitamins A, E and B complex, zinc and selenium to support healthy skin and coat in dogs with endocrine disorders
  • Added taurine and L-carnitine to support heart function in elderly dogs with endocrine disorders
  • Moderate levels of phosphorus and sodium to support kidney function
  • Fermentable fibre to support a healthy microbiome and gastrointestinal motility

Daily individual requirements may vary depending on breed, environment, season and activity level. With most regimens for diabetes management it is recommended to feed in two meals, with timing determined by the activity of the insulin. Monitor blood glucose levels, water intake, presence of clinical signs and insulin dose regularly. Not recommended for young fast-growing puppies or pregnant and lactating bitches.
