SPECIFIC CKD Heart & Kidney Support is a complete veterinary diet specially formulated for dogs with heart failure, hypertension, oedema, chronic renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency (except patients with cholestasis), and urate, oxalate or cystine urolithiasis. With uniquely high levels of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil and krill, restricted protein of high biological value, reduced sodium and phosphorus, and zeolite to help reduce uraemia. Specially packed in a protected atmosphere to preserve the uniquely high levels of EPA and DHA. Use under veterinary supervision.
  • Uniquely high levels of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil and krill to support lean body mass, appetite, cardiac rhythm, blood pressure and platelet aggregation, and help slow progression of kidney failure
  • Reduced sodium level to help break the vicious circle of water retention in congestive heart failure
  • Restricted phosphorus content to reduce hyperphosphataemia and slow the progression of kidney insufficiency
  • Reduced protein of high biological value to reduce azotaemia in renal failure and likelihood of hyperammonaemia and hepatic encephalopathy in liver failure
  • Contains zeolite to bind ammonium and help reduce uraemia in renal failure and hyperammonaemia in liver failure
  • L-carnitine and taurine added to support heart muscle function
  • Fermentable fibres and AuraGuard for a healthy gut microbiome and intestinal barrier integrity to support the gut-kidney axis
Rice, Wheat, Maize, Fish Oil, Pork Fat, Potato Protein, Beet Pulp, Animal Protein Hydrolysate, Egg Powder, Antarctic Krill, Minerals, Cellulose Powder, Yeast, Fructo-oligosaccharides, AuraGuard (Calcium Carbonate, Citrus Extract, Maltodextrin, Sodium Chloride). Natural antioxidants (tocopherols, rosemary extract and vitamin C). Contains no added artificial colours or flavourings.

Daily individual requirements may vary depending on breed, environment, season and activity level. Not recommended for puppies, pregnant or lactating bitches, dogs with a relatively high protein requirement, patients with cholestasis, dogs with struvite urolithiasis or dogs with hyperlipaemia or pancreatitis.
