SPECIFIC CRD-1 Weight Reduction is a complete veterinary diet specially formulated for dogs with obesity, diabetes mellitus, colitis, chronic diarrhoea, constipation, hyperlipaemia and cholestasis. The low fat and high fibre content results in a low energy density, enabling the owner to feed a considerable amount of food while still supporting weight loss — keeping the dog's appetite satisfied. L-carnitine transports fatty acids into the mitochondria to stimulate fat oxidation and preserve muscle mass. Once ideal weight is reached, switch to SPECIFIC CRD-2 Weight Control. Use under veterinary supervision.

  • Increased soluble and insoluble fibre to support gastrointestinal motility and a healthy gastrointestinal tract
  • Low fat content also makes it suitable for management of hyperlipaemia and cholestasis
Wheat, Fish Meal, Maize Protein, Oats, Cellulose Powder, Beet Pulp, Animal Protein Hydrolysate, Potato Protein, Antarctic Krill, Fish Oil, Minerals, Vegetable Oil, Vitamins and Trace Elements (including chelated trace elements), Yeast, Psyllium Husk, Methionine, L-Carnitine, Rosemary Extract. Natural antioxidants (tocopherols and vitamin C). Contains no added artificial colours or flavourings.
Protein 29.7%, Fat 6.1%, Carbohydrate (NFE) 36.9%, Crude Fibre 13.2%, Calcium 0.85g, Phosphorus 0.70g, Sodium 0.28g, Starch 24.0g, Total Sugar 1.8g, L-Carnitine 30mg, Omega-3 Fatty Acids 0.72g, Moisture 8.5%. Metabolisable Energy 1147 kJ/100g.
During a weight reduction period it is recommended to feed only 60% of the advised quantity for normal dogs. If the dog does not lose weight it may be necessary to further reduce the daily quantity. With most regimens for diabetes management it is recommended to feed in two meals, with timing determined by the activity of the insulin. Not recommended for young puppies or pregnant and lactating bitches with a high energy need.

Good but very dry
