Hill's Prescription Diet k/d + Mobility Dog Food flavoured with Chicken is complete dietetic pet food for support of renal function in cases of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency and for support of the metabolism of joints in the case of osteoarthritis in adult dogs. This food has a low level of phosphorus, a restricted level of high-quality protein, high levels of EPA and total omega-3 fatty acids, and an adequate level of vitamin E.

My female Labrador has been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease. Although there is no cure, we wanted to give her the best food we could afford after doing a lot of research. We chose Hill's Prescription Diet k/d + Mobility, and she absolutely loves it. She eats every meal without any fuss, which is a huge relief. It is quite expensive, but for us it's worth the cost to help support her quality of life. We'll definitely continue feeding her this food.

Our dog has only been on the Hills Prescription renal diet for a few weeks, so not seeing any improvement in his kidney function yet. However, as a dog who has had gut issues his whole life (he's 16), I have to say there was an added (and totally unexpected) bonus of moving him onto this food - within days his gut health improved and has stayed that way. Happy dog, happy owners.
