ROYAL CANIN® British Shorthair Adult is specially formulated to meet the unique nutritional needs of adult British Shorthair cats from 12 months old. Due to the breed’s heavy, muscular body type, this formula contains an adapted protein level to help maintain muscle mass and is enriched with L-carnitine to support healthy fat metabolism. Omega-3 fatty acids including EPA and DHA help support healthy bones and joints, allowing your cat to maintain normal activity levels comfortably. A carefully balanced mineral profile supports healthy cardiac and urinary system function, contributing to overall long-term wellbeing. The large, curvy-shaped kibble is specially adapted to the British Shorthair’s broad jaw, encouraging chewing and supporting oral hygiene. This recipe is also available in a delicious wet food format, suitable for mixed feeding when following the recommended guidelines.

Please ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times. Feeding amounts vary depending on your cat’s weight and activity level.

3–4 kg: 34–41 g (low energy) or 42–52 g (moderate activity).

5–6 kg: 49–55 g (low energy) or 61–69 g (moderate activity).

7–8 kg: 62–68 g (low energy) or 77–85 g (moderate activity).

British Shorthair food breaks up easily for cats, they enjoy it.

With a large cat family with varying amounts of Rag Doll, Bengal and Tabby, we normally use Royal Cannin Rag Doll. It was getting too hard to crunch for some cats, they were seen struggling and had enjoyed British Shorthair food in the past which breaks up more easily. So switched to BSH and they are perfectly happy. Price is slightly less. which is good too, but can't say it's a 'great price' when this food has doubled in cost since higher inflation and energy costs, making it expensive; but cats demand R.C. food.
