I had been buying Beta lite to keep my dogs weight down after her op. The trouble was that my local country store where I bought it seemed to put the price up because it was lite. Our Labrador loves this, we've tried other makes but always come back to this one. The lower protein level of this feed is great for dogs that will eat until they explode ! They can eat enough to feel full without piling on the pounds. Highly recommended.

My border collie has been fed on Beta since she was a puppy (recommended by breeder) always leaving an empty bowl and is thriving on it so much so that she is now on the light as she is gaining so much weight. She loves it.

My jack russell parsons ddint seem to like this at all. I think the kibbles are too big for her. They would be perfect for a larger dog. She did eat a couple of kibbles but only when they were given as a treat not as her meal. Our 7 month old kitten loved stealing the kibbles and eating them so the food must taste good. Would buy this but choose a smaller kibble

Firstly I was concerned when I opened the bag as the chunks are quite large in comparison to the brand my 6 year old shih tzu normally has . I was worried that she would find them difficult to eat . <br>I was so wrong . In fact they are so much better being larger pieces as now she takes her time chewing over each one . This has resulted in a much better digestion and she no longer has loose stools. <br>I started off by giving her a few as treats and then gradually introduced them into her food over a few days . <br>My dog loves them and gets very excited when I bring the bag out . <br>On our recent visit to the vets her weight has also shown a slight decrease. This is amazing as she still has her little treats during the day and the weight loss , although slight is definitely an improvement. <br>I will be sticking with this one . Thank you !!

My old labrador has been dieting due to being overweight but foods recommended by the vets dont appeal to him, ehile he does eat it, he doesnt look like hes enjoying it. During the beta trial, he really tucked into his food and seemed like he loved it, im really pleased as beta is considerably cheaper than the vets food! Its a winner in our house!

My dog has only been eating these for 2 days but she already shows how much she likes the biscuits by dancing around the kitchen when it's mealtime! I have started by combining a handful of biscuits in with her regular wet food as she never really takes to a dry- only diet.<br>I feel doing it this way, the biscuits will last a few weeks as she has 2 meals a day. <br>Overall very happy to have been chosen for this as due to my dog having diabetes, I have to keep her diet consistent, therefore her enjoying and eating all of what I give her is important .<br>Update 4/10/18. She is still loving these biscuits ,the bowl is always completely empty after her meals. Would definitely try these again .

One Disappointed Cocker Spaniel

My overweight Cocker Spaniel tends to love his food a bit too much and when I first introduced Beta Light Turkey to him, all looked well and he seemed happy to eat it. However, as I gradually introduced more of it into his normal food, as recommended, he became less and less interested and has now reached a point where he leaves his bowl of food untouched for the whole day! Compared to his normal dried dog food, it actually looks quite uninteresting and bland, although I doubt the appearance would have much affect on him, as normally he wolfs his food down so quickly it doesn't touch the sides let alone get a chance to be seen! Perhaps if I was to continue to fed him this he would lose weight as he wouldn't eat so much, although I doubt this is the way it is supposed to work. I am disappointed as it all started out so well, but I am afraid it is just not for Dougal and I am unable to recommend it.
