BETA Light Adult Dry Dog Food with Turkey and Lamb - 2kg By Beta

My dog Dexter who is a sprocker is in day 4 of trying this beta light and is loving it!!! I feed him the recommended weight of biscuits for his weight and it seemed rather a lit at first in his bowl but this is the first time that I have followed the instructions! Dexter is quite an active spaniel but is also getting older and is quite a chunky dog so the light seemed the perfect choice. He loves it and the different sized biscuits are perfect for him as it offers variety and encourages him to chew the biscuits rather than just swallow everything whole! He has had no problems with this product and his digestion seems ok and he also is not begging for food like he normally does. Will be thinking about changing to beta fully in the future.

Started giving my dog the light - turkey 2 days ago and she loves it! Too early to say if it will keep her weight under control however she can be very picky but certainly seems to like this one!

Both of my dogs husky and chihuahua loves the new dry food. Especially my chihuahua Milo he is very fussy eater but he likes Beta dry food. I am very happy about it.

Packaging is nice and size of the food is decent. My Lab was eager to wolf it down but then he eats literally anything. While my dog did seem to enjoy it, it reeked havoc on his bowls and he passed a lot of gas whilst on it. Did need to go to the toilet more and seemed to be much more hungry on it. The food doesn’t have a strong smell to it which is always good as some foods can really smell. Now this could all be down to the fact it was a change of food that caused all the above so I’d say try it and see if your experience is different.

Neither of my dogs got on with this product. Even the one that will eat ANYTHING.<br>Although it states “with turkey” it’s only 4% of the “meat” content . It’s Meat and animal derivatives- which basically means any meat and any part of an animal . Not good if your dog has allergies to certain meats. It also includes vegetable derivatives (peelings or roots and anything that we would normally throw away even if giving to animals) . If the first ingredient is “ cereal” and the meat is mainly unknown it’s not the best nutrition for the dog. ( avoid if your dog has a delicate stomach)<br>However, if this is within your budget then there are worse foods out there than Beta.

Beta has been a great dog food I have a westie who is over weight and suffers from IBS this food was brilliant didn’t upset her tummy at all and she loved the taste wonderful food can’t recommend it enough

Wow my dog is normally fussy with turkey flavoured food but she absolutely loves this! I have to try and slow her down because she wolfs the lot! Hopefully she has still lost weight when we go to her follow up appointment st the vets next week!

the two jack Russell which are mum and son like the dog food only when I give them to in the afternoon when we have tea they have their wet food in the dinner time so it just right for afternoon tea the dog crunch in the back teeth which is great to clean them too I think its a good sorce of healthy food in a good mix of veg and turkey makes the food tasteyer to eat and it is a good way to keep the slim a no fating food so good for me as do not get out much thanks for the trial I will go out and buy some more at the pet shop

My little dog is admittedly quite a greedy wee boy and has a huge appetite. Having said that, when it comes to introducing dried dog foods, he doesn’t always like change and can be a bit picky! fortunately, did not have any problems getting used to the Purina Beta Light (Turkey). I have him his first taste as a treat from my hand, sampling the smaller of the two sized pieces, which he loved. He then had ate his dinner of Purina as though it had been his favourite food forever.<br>What I like about this food is that it has a natural prebiotic (since he has been on this good for the past three weeks he has not had any loose stools), as well as being all natural ingredients, it has 20% less fat than the regular brand, which, if I continue to give him at the lower grams per day, should have the extra kilos off of him in no time at all! He is already looking as though he’s lost weight and I am sure the vet will be very pleased with us on our next visit!<br>Highly recommend this for dogs who need to lose some weight, although he will always be a greedy boy on the lookout for more food, he is certainly just as fulfilled on Purina as he was on the brand I was feeding him before, but with the bonus of losing weight at the same time!

Well, to be fair, Hatti a 7 year old springer isn't a fussy eater. There are few foods she has met and not liked. However, some have had dire results. A well known highend kibble gave her such bad dirreoeah I had to give the bag to my neighbour for his dog... £40n worth of food. Another gave her horrendous wind.. She was not good to live with! Hatti has been eating this for about 2 days now. No tummy troubles, no wind. It doesn't have a strong smell that some kibbbles have. She wolfs her meals down as she always does. The only thing that I have noticed is that she is drinking more water, which is a good thing. I find with this food, I need to give her more than I did with her other food. With her previous food a mug full was the measured amount recommended, but with this one, the recommended amount comes to about just under a mug and a half. Which probably pleases hatti as she gets more to eat!

My dogs are both very greedy dogs and as my lillte one is a pug I have to be careful she doesn’t put on more weight than she needs. I tried the beta light so she can eat a good amount without me having to worry about her putting on extra pounds as I’m now disabled and can’t walk her as much as I would like. She absolutely loved the food clearing her bowl every time which she wasn’t doing before she also has a delicate stomach and most foods give her really bad gas but that has completely gone with this food. This is now her regular food. My other dog is a border collie and he also absolutely loves this food. This is now my everyday food that I will stick with I can’t recommend this food enough.

I bought this product as one of my dogs needs a low purine diet and this was recommended to me. My other dog only has 3 legs so weight management is important for him, so this product suits both their needs and they really enjoy it, which is great!

We love this dry food for our Molly the Collie. With this one she can have a good scoop with her meat and not gain weight. Satisfying her hunger and keeping her healthy.

Have only ever fed my 5 year old lab this brand. He’s not that active unless it suits him. I have been feeding him this for a couple of years and his weight is manageable and the kibble is nice and small that he needs to take his time to eat. Stops him being sick which he used to be with larger kibble as he was eating too fast.

I have always fed my German Shepherd Benson on Beta dried dog food. He loves it. This is the light variety which Benson likes just as much and has lost a bit of weight as well. His coat is lovely and shinny. He never leaves any.
