Your cats diet plays an important role in their health. The ROYAL CANIN Feline Care Nutrition range includes specially crafted diets formulated to support common sensitivities your cat might encounter. Slightly overweight cats are at increased risk of serious health issues and are less able to enjoy activities. ROYAL CANIN Light Weight Care is a nutritionally complete and balanced formula specially designed to help limit weight gain and support healthy weight maintenance. Thanks to the inclusion of an ideal blend of fibres, this dry kibble formula helps your cat feel full after eating. Its also nutritionally formulated to help your cat maintain a healthy weight. The specially adapted protein content in this diet helps to maintain your cats muscle mass to help keep them at a healthy weight. ROYAL CANIN Light Weight Care is also enriched with L-carnitine an amino acid involved in healthy fat metabolism. This diet is also formulated with a balance of minerals to help maintain the health of your adult cats urinary system. ROYAL CANIN Light Weight Care has proven results. Our study* showed that over 90% of participating cats fed with this diet achieved a healthier weight in just 8 weeks. ROYAL CANIN Light Weight Care is also available in 2 different wet food textures: gravy and jelly. A mixture of both wet food and dry food provides the variety cats love. While dry kibble creates a tooth-brushing effect and is easier to store, the moisture content in wet food helps to support hydration and urinary health. All ROYAL CANIN products go through an extensive quality control process to guarantee the best quality of food. When your cat eats ROYAL CANIN Light Weight Care, they get a complete and balanced nutritional diet. *Royal Canin internal study.

Good promise

Well known brand, not so cheap but you can expect quality. That's so important with your furry friend life. My cat is really fussy but like Light Weight range - either wet food (nice small meat pieces) or dry food (nice size nibbles) . He lost some weight on that diet, he's fur is healthy and shiny, he looks happy.
Cici loves it!

My cat loved it! She’s normally quite fussy but was happy to eat all of this! Great that it’s got good ingredients and also helps with her weight control!
Nice food, ? meat source

While it is too soon to see any difference on weight my cat is very much enjoying the food. On first trying he wolfed it down. I found the wet food slightly hard to get out of the pouch, I feel it could have done with more gravy but this is also likely preference due to having an indoor cat who doesn't drink much. My biggest concern with the food was not knowing exactly what meat it was, the pouches were just labelled 'thin strips with gravy' with no clue to what the thing strips were near wise. Overall I would purchase again but would look more closely to what is in the food

Really good food that my cat loves! The added weight control benefit makes it a win for me as she is an indoor cat! Recommended for all cats including fussy ones!
Great product

I have 4 British Shorthair cats who are known for being on the larger side of the spectrum when it comes to cats! They are also very food orientated! First impression of the wet food was that it contained alot of additives and was not the same consistency of their usual food. As I expected unfortunately, they were not interested in the wet. However, they love dry food and tucked straight in, clearing their bowls! They are usually free fed dry food and I have had to limit their intake because they would finish the lot if I let them! I've always had positive thoughts surrounding Royal Canin as a brand and I will continue to purchase the dry food.
Cats enjoy eating it!

My cats are both fairly fussy eaters; they have been known to go on hunger strikes if they don't take a liking to a new food brand! Luckily, they both really love the dry food, and I think it looks really fun, like they are eating mini doughnuts! The wet food is a bit hit or miss: our little cat (who doesn't need to lose weight) really loves it, and our bigger cat is neutral about it.
Royal Canin Cat Food

Wow… I honestly can’t believe it. My fussy cat absolutely LOVED the Royal Canin food products - both the wet and dry food! I did read that their food has a very high uptake, which I can definitely vouch for. Not only does she eat every last piece, she licks the bowl clean and gets so excited when she hears the pouch opening again for dinner time! The dry food is something I leave out for her throughout the day and she randomly snacks on it. Her water intake has increased since switching to Royal Canin, but I don’t think that is a bad thing. She is an indoor cat so the lightweight food is perfect to keep her weight under control. The only downside is that the wet food gets stuck to the lining of the pouch. Due to the consistency it’s hard to empty out, so I have to use a fork to scrape it. Aside from that, the products are fantastic and I would highly recommend - even to those with fussy eaters!
A great succes, 5 stars!

My cat Pearl was getting a little cuddly and I discussed with the vet at her 6 monthly check up whether I should try her on a lighter food. She is an indoor cat due to only having one eye. She often gets the zoomies and loves her food so lowering the amount of food she was going to have was going to be a bit of a battle. I was slightly concerned that she would be quite hungry having the light food but she has done well with the changeover, in particular the biscuits that have psyllium husk in to keep her full. She loves them and sprints to her bowl for them. She's a little bit pickier with her wet food so I'm still in the process of fully moving her onto the wet food. She was previously having the RC Indoor biscuits & she still seems to have the same amount of energy & zest for play even though she's having less calories. I'd definitely recommend the RC Light Weight care food to others will continue having it as part of her diet.
Excellent

Excellent Cat Food to Assist with Weight Loss
by EmilyW -
My cat Winston absolutely loves this Royal Canin Light Weight food, both dry and wet. He cries for his meals and is so excited to eat it! He loves food so much, and the vet has told me he needs to lose 0.5kg. I had been struggling with this as he is always hungry and always wants to eat! But this Royal Canin food has helped to keep him fuller, and I can also give him a bit more than I would if he was to try to lose weight on another food. The dry food is easy to keep fresh with the resealing bag. My only concern is I wish they food would state what animal the meat is from.
Great ingredients

Great food for my fussy friend. The ingredients are very selective, just perfect for a cat that needs to loose some weight. Visible results, in about three weeks. A bit difficult to start with a new product, but at the end worked
Highly recommended cat food!

I have at home two fussy eaters with slightly different taste so I have a double challenge to feed them with something tasteful but also in a healthy way. Molly has appreciated the Royal Canin Lightweight Dry Food. She is checking several times through the day if there is new portion in her bowl. As she is a small British Short Hair she likes the small size of kibbles. Toudi on the other hand is a proper meat/wet food eater and is hoovering the Royal Canin Lightweight Wet Food pouches in millie seconds. I was positively surprised as he got used to new food very quickly. With kibbles Toudi is less excited as he loves very large pieces. In general it is a win win situation as both breeds have got tendency to overweight so I am happy that with the help from Royal Canin I can look after my cats in more controlled way.
Will definitely be repurchasing!

I have a super fussy cat when it comes to both wet and dry food, I have never been able to change her mind about the current brand we use, however, we tried her with the Royal Canine lightweight range and she got stuck straight in! She seems to be really enjoying them.

My cat has been trying Royal Canin light weight care for the past 10 days. She was all over the box when it arrived and was really pushing my hand when opening the bag of dry food. It didn't take her very long for her to finish that first plate.. I have already seen her have more energy and wants to play catch every day. Hopefully this will help her maintaining her weight as being an indoor cat she has a tendency of putting on weight easily. So far there has been no weight gain, but it has only been 10 days. The main positive outcome is that she is loving the dry food, and she is really making herself heard when it is lunch and dinner time :-) and there is no left overs. The other positive point is that her poop is less smelly which is really great, so much so I can’t really tell when the litter is dirty so I must remember to clean it still. Overall, I am very happy with RC light weight care dry food.
Very happy furbabies

ALL 5 STARS!!! 🌟
My phone clearly glitched and wouldn’t let me go anymore than 4 stars.

My furbabies can be quite funny with new foods but they didn’t have any issues and dived right in. I noticed a change pretty much first few days, days their indoor cats and toilet jobs are inside so I was relived when noticed their poos are certainly healthier and less stinky, which is a massive bonus. Empty bowls and very happy al round. Thank you
Absolutely amazing

My cat is normally such a fussy eater and struggles to eat food quality food. With the lightweight royal Canin wet pouches and the dry food she is absolutely loving the high quality ingredients this time around. Her coat is a lot smoother and her breath is a lot less smelly too! She’s maintaining a good healthy weight. I would definitely recommend this food and brand

K, our British Shorthair, has been trying out the Royal Canin Light Weight Care dry food, and it’s clear that she enjoys it! The small, crunchy kibble seems to be a hit, with her showing more excitement for this than her previous brand. This enthusiasm for the taste has been a welcome change. However, as with any dietary shift, we’ve noticed that a higher intake of dry food has brought about some digestive adjustments. K generally prefers to moderate her dry food consumption, and this new combination has led to mild constipation, which we're monitoring closely to ensure her comfort.

While the light formula shows promise, especially for weight management, we will continue to assess whether it’s the best long-term choice for K, as her overall health and wellbeing are our top priorities.
Great food

Royal Canin Light Weight Care meal plan is a blend of dry and wet cat food designed to nutritionally feed your cat a balanced diet to help them loose weight. Made with meat and healthy minerals to maintain good metabolism. My cat enjoyed this so much she ate all of the packet in one go.
Great!

Basil is so excited about food.. and he was super excited to receive this! (So much so that he even tried to break into the boxes and bags..!) he’s a bit overweight, so am happy to try this for him. He seems to love the food because no crumb gets left behind! He gets excited for dinner time for sure. The only qualm is that the wet food really is stinky.. and makes his poop stinky too.
My cat loves this

My cat Maya is an indoor cat and so she does not get as much exercise as an outdoor cat would. Recently the vets said she has put on a bit of weight so this was one of the brands recommended to switch to to help with her weight and eating less. Straightaway as I opened the packet she ran towards me and sniffed the dry food. I mixed some with her ordinary food and she completely wolfed it down. You can see her licking her lips after in the pic. I’ve started using the wet pouches too now. She is a fussy cat but she’s really enjoying these and in no time finishes it off. Her coat is looking shinier and I notice she is more active than before. We are going for a weigh in at the vets this week so am hoping by switching to this food she has managed to lose some weight.
Bowls licked cleaned!

Dawson is super fussy! He's also had a rotten time lately with being not very well. This light weight care by Royal Cabin has gone down an absolute treat! Bowl has been emptied in ONE sitting and he's also crying for more. 5*
