Dimethicone is a non-pesticide which works by immobilising the fleas and ticks in a 'sticky trap' helping to stop infestation. The dimethicone covers the parasites with a fine layer so the remain trapped and cannot move to infest other pets or your home. This makes it easier to get rid of them when you comb or brush your pet.
Dimethicone is used in many human skin care products and is also used to treat head lice for children.
