ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition Since 1968, Royal Canin has been following the belief that nutrition plays a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs. This is why we have designed ROYAL CANIN® veterinary diets around proven nutritional science in partnership with pet professionals and experts, delivering nutrition for pets with specific health needs.
Certain nutrients can help to support cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency, which is why the diet you choose for your cat is key to supporting their kidney health. ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef pouches are specifically tailored to support adult cats with Chronic Renal Insufficiency.
ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef is suitable for:
• Cats with azotaemic Chronic Kidney Disease with proteinuria (IRIS stage 1 to 4).
• Cats with chronic Kidney Disease (IRIS stage 2 to 4).
• Management of calcium oxalate urolith recurrence in cats with impaired renal function.
• Prevention of recurrence of urolithiasis requiring urine alkalinisation: urate & cystine uroliths.
Key benefits:
• Renal support
o When cats' kidneys are not functioning efficiently, that often means that phosphorus cannot effectively be filtered from the bloodstream. ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef provides a low phosphorus content and a number of high-quality proteins to help support kidney health and function.
• Adapted Energy
o Some cats may have a reduced appetite when they experience impaired renal function. To help support your cat if their appetite has recently reduced, ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef has an adapted energy content to reduce the volume of each meal.
• Aromatic choice
o To help stimulate your cat's appetite in cases of food aversion or reduced appetite, ROYAL CANIN® Renal with Beef has a specific aromatic profile and loaf-like texture to encourage your cat to eat.
Royal Canin are proud to partner with leading veterinary scientists to produce renal wet cat food. As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Range, it is important that this product is only fed to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.
Some cats with renal disorders may have a reduced appetite or food aversion, but texture variety can help to support your cat's appetite. To cater to each cat's individual preferences, ROYAL CANIN® Renal wet pouches are also available in alternative flavours and scents and as a dry food to cater for your cat’s evolving preferences. If you feed your cat a mixed diet of wet and dry food, make sure you follow the on-pack feeding guides to ensure a healthy daily food intake for your cat.
Please note: Royal Canin Renal with Beef is not suitable for growth, gestation or lactation.

Best renal food available
by Peter Green -
It's a struggle to get renal cats to eat but this beef in gravy is universally loved by my two senior cats. Their health is much better
Good price for case
by Jessica Harris -
Buying the case of 12 pouches is the most cost effective way for me. I need to feed this diet long term. Reliable delivery
Just okay
by Tom Allen -
My cat only eats this reluctantly and only if I mix it with a tiny bit of non renal food. It's better than nothing but she's not keen
Very effective diet

My vet highly recommended this Royal Canin line. The beef in gravy is a hit with my elderly cat. She always cleans the bowl

Good flavor variety

It is one of the few renal foods my cat consistently eats. I rotate with the fish flavor for variety. Excellent nutritional support
Great texture
by Michael Evans -
My cat prefers the slices in gravy over pate or chunks. It helps keep her appetite up. The pouches are perfect single servings
Essential for her health
by Sarah Johnson -
This food is vital for my 15 year old cat's kidneys. The thin slices are easy for her to chew. A little pricey but worth it
Highly palatable renal food
by Ben Davies -
It's so hard to find a renal diet food that a cat will actually eat but mine loves the beef flavor in gravy. Good for hydration
My cat adores this
by Catherine Adams -
The gravy is clearly very tasty as my cat licks the bowl clean. Essential for her renal issues. The pouches are easy to manage
My cat's joint-second favourite
by Hugh -
My cat's joint-second favourite renal diet cat food. Only *** for price because all renal diet cat food is comparatively expensive (not the seller's fault).
Renal diet cat food
by Hugh -
My fussy cat has stage 2 renal failure. This is his joint 2nd favourite renal diet food. Royal Canin is expensive, but at least he eats it most of the time.
Royal Canin Feline Renal Problem pouches
by Hugh -
My cat preferred Royal Canin wet pouches to other makes, although sometimes he liked a change. Petshop.co.uk have always been prompt and courteous, and are usually priced competitively for Veterinary Care cat food.
