The ROYAL CANIN® Gastrointestinal Tract range is designed to support cats with diverse digestive tract disorders, including liver conditions. For cats that suffer with liver disease - such as chronic liver insufficiency - a tailored cat food for liver problems that contains supportive nutrients can help to support liver function.

Copper accumulation can happen in some liver diseases, this food helps to minimise copper accumulation in your cat's liver. ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic cat food contains specifically adapted levels of high-quality proteins to support liver function

ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic cat food is suitable for cats with:
- Cholangitis/Cholangiohepatitis associated with liver dysfunction
- Chronic hepatitis
- Hepatic encephalopathy
- Copper storage disease
- Portosystemic shunt

Please note: ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic dry cat food is not suitable for growth, gestation or lactation, hepatic lipidosis without hepatic encephalopathy, or acute hepatitis without hepatic encephalopathy.

Adapted protein content
ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic contains specifically adapted levels of high-quality proteins. The combination of these proteins helps to support liver function.
Low Copper
ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic's low copper content can help to minimise copper accumulation in your cat's liver.
High Energy
ROYAL CANIN® Hepatic has a high energy content to help reduce the volume of your cat's meals and decrease their intestinal load while providing the energy they need.
Composition: Maize, rice, animal fats, wheat gluten**, dehydrated pork proteins**,maize gluten**, vegetable fibres, hydrolysed animal proteins**, minerals, chicory pulp, soya oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, algal oil Schizochytrium sp. Amazing food for any cat with Liver problems

My cat has serious liver disease and this food seems to make all the difference. She loves the taste and the kibbles are nice and small for her to have small but nutritious meals all throughout the day. I am a huge RC fan anyways, it is by far the best cat food ever!
