SPECIFIC FKD Kidney Support is a complete veterinary diet specially formulated for cats with chronic renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency (except patients with cholestasis), congestive heart failure, hypertension, oedema, and urate, oxalate or cystine urolithiasis. With uniquely high levels of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, restricted protein of high biological value, reduced phosphorus and sodium, zeolite to help reduce uraemia, and exceptional palatability to maximise the chance of nutritional requirements being met even in patients with poor appetite. Specially packed in a protective atmosphere to preserve the uniquely high levels of EPA and DHA. Use under veterinary supervision.
  • Uniquely high levels of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil to help slow progression of kidney failure and support lean body mass, appetite, blood pressure and platelet aggregation
  • Restricted phosphorus to prevent hyperphosphataemia and slow the progression of kidney insufficiency
  • Reduced protein of high biological value to reduce azotaemia in renal failure and likelihood of hyperammonaemia and hepatic encephalopathy in liver failure
  • Reduced sodium level to help break the vicious circle of water retention in congestive heart failure
  • Contains zeolite to bind ammonium and help reduce uraemia in renal failure and hyperammonaemia in liver failure
  • L-carnitine and taurine added to support heart muscle function
  • Fermentable fibres and AuraGuard for a healthy gut microbiome and intestinal barrier integrity to support the gut-kidney axis
