PURINA VETERINARY DIETS UR is a complete veterinary diet for cats with Urinary Tract Conitions. PVD Feline UR is specially formulated to help dissolve struvite urinary crystals and stones and helps reduce the risk of urinary stones recurring (struvite and calcium oxalate). It can also help nutritionally manage feline iodiopathic cystitis by increasing water intake and encouraging the production of dilute urine. PVD UR contains nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and natural sources of glycosaminoglycans which help support the health of the urinary tract.
Note that PVD UR is not suitable for pregnant queens, growing kittens and cats with chronic kidney disease. If in doubt, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

Recommended length of time for use for: Dissolution: 5-12 weeks; reduction of recurrence: Up to 6 months. It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Fresh water should always be available. When feeding dry and wet can, for each addition of 1/4 Feline UR wet can, reduce by 10g dry kibble.

My cat is a little (a lot) overweight and has suffered bouts of cystitis at time. On the advice of vet I am trying this product. To soon to notice any weight loss yet but she does enjoy the food.
